Blush or Bronzer?  - Bronzer.
Lip Gloss or Lipstick?  - Lipstick!
Eye Liner or Mascara?  - Oooh I love both but mascara.
Neutral or Color Eye Shadow?  - I do love both, but I’m a color girl at heart.
Pressed or Loose Eye Shadows?  - Pressed are easiest but I do love pigments.
Brushes or Sponges?  - Brushes for sure.

NAILS:
OPI or China Glaze?  -  OPI.
Long or Short?  -  I’d go with in between.  Mine are never short and they grow fast, I keep them in the middle because I don’t like them super long.
Acrylic or Natural?  - Natural, I don’t do acrylic ever.
Brights or Darks? - Brights and darks.  I’m very open with my nail options.
Flower or No Flower?  -  No flowers, except every here and there once in a while.

BODY:
Perfume or Body Spray?  - Perfume.
Lotion or Body Butter?  - Lotion.
Body Wash or Soap?  - Body wash.
Lush or Other Bath Company?  - I love lush- but only from word of mouth unfortunately, so bath and body works would have to be my go to.

FASHION:
Jeans or Sweat Pants?   - Jeans for out, sweat pants for home.
Long Sleeve of Short?  -  Short.
Dresses or Skirts?  -  I don’t really wear either too often but dress.
Stripes or Plaid?  - Stripes.
Flip Flops or Sandals?  - Flippy Floppy’s.
Scarves or Hats? - Oooh tough.  I don’t wear either often but love both.
Studs or Dangly Earrings? -  Studs, and I only wear them in my cartilage’s. 
Necklaces or Bracelets? - Depends, I’m a ring girl.
Heels or Flats? -  I like heels but depends on where and if they’re comfy, so flats in general.
Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots? - No real opinion.
Jacket or Hoodie?  - Jacket, but have to own a hoodie.
Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe?  - Charlotte Russe.
Abercombie or Hollister?  - Neither.
Saks 5th or Nordstrom?  - Neither really but nordstrom is good I just don’t shop there much.

HAIR:
Curly or Straight? - Wavy naturally.
Bun or Ponytail? - I honestly put my hair up in different ways.  I’ll do a ponytail, but most of the time its one of those easy “sloppy” fold over buns, or a ponytail then pulled up with a clip.  My hair is very, very, very long.  Even with a clip its hard to keep out of my face and off my neck.
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips? - Bobby pins.
Hair Spray or Gel? - I don’t use either but hair spray if I do.
Long or Short? -  Very long.
Light or Dark? -  Dark, I shade it light/darker/etc. sometimes.  But its dark brown.
Side Sweep Bangs or Full Bangs? -  I have no bangs unless you wanna get technical- they’re as long as the rest of my hair lol.
Up or Down? -  Down!

Next giveaway, etc. Have any input?

I did warn there would be a delay, but there has been more of one than I’d have liked.  I enjoy doing my giveaways back to back, but a break is okay.  Thank you for staying with me throughout this, I have only lost a few followers and I’m glad you guys have stuck around despite my lack of posts.  Besides the fact that I’ll be gone the next two days (Tom Petty concert!) I am planning to come back and start posting as I used to.  I miss doing it and I miss you guys as well.

Since I am still gathering items for both of the next giveaways, I’m going to take one more vote of which to do first.  You guys wanted the used/swatched giveaway last time I checked, so I want to make sure we’re still doing that first before I take pictures and gather everything to start.  Everything will be sanitized.  Nothing has been used that is a product such as mascara, it just is something I have opened and taken a picture of so I consider it not brand new.  The eye shadow/palettes have all been swatched, but I do not think any have actually been used on myself.  The other items I will have to go back and look at but I’m just trying to give you an idea of what I mean by used/swatched.  They are mostly just open items I’ve bought and swatched to make posts and I no longer feel I will use it and I’d like to give it to someone that will.  Again, I will sanitize it either way.

The other giveaway will be the next “normal” melissaphora one, with all new products.  I have rounded up probably half or more of those, but I’d like to get a few more if you have any suggestions feel free to leave them here.  

I am considering putting a full new tube of the lash serum I’ve been using (that has worked amazingly) in it.  I’m not sure yet but I may.  

I’d like any comments, questions, suggestions you have on the giveaways, which to do first, etc.  Or my blog of course, anything you have to say I would love to hear.

Anonymous asked: Best drugstore products? Like foundations and mascaras and brushes.

I’m not educated enough to make any recommendations on foundations, but I can help you out still.  Most face products, ie: foundation, blush I do not use or use very sparingly.  I have recently gotten into drugstore products though, so here goes.  I’m going to include target/walmart into my drugstore finds.  I’m not limiting the list to it but just as a heads up I lean more toward and am more educated on eye products.

Wet n Wild has decent blush, and it is cheap.  I have used Almay foundation and I liked it, it’s just I can’t wear it in general.  I have heard great things about many other brand’s foundations but I have no more input I feel comfortable giving you on that.

For mascara, although I use Lancome now because I finally found my holy grail mascara, I actually found wet n wild to have decent mascara.  Maybelline does as well.

Brushes, e.l.f.  I prefer their mineral ones ($3) but their essential line ($1) is good too.  Sonia K. is good as well, Target.

Nail polish, I swear by sally hansen.  For cleaning up your nails, their nail strips, and I like their nail polishes but of course I like other brands as well.  

Make up remover, neutrogena.  I love their facial cleansing wipes, and their foaming face wash.

eye shadow, honestly most brands make decent ones, but i prefer wet n wild, e.l.f., and maybelline.  rimmel is good as well.

eye liner, maybelline is what i used to use a lot & i know many like milani’s.

lip stick/gloss, revlon lip butters are nice.  i am not into lip gloss much, and wet n wild’s lip sticks are pretty well.  i honestly only use MAC lipsticks but I have wet n wild ones which are good.

Overall the brands I like the most: e.l.f., wet n wild, maybelline, sally hansen, neutrogena, and rimmel.

I will take a good hard look at my makeup since I need to re organize it and make another post about this updated with the makeup from my stash that is drugstore and quality.

If you have any other questions or would like more specifics feel free to ask but as I said I will update with more specifics.

Next giveaway, which do you want first?

Vote: next giveaway, should it be the “melissaphora slighty used/swatched items giveaway” (sanitized) or the next “melissaphora giveaway #6” (I believe we are on 6! and it’d be usual with all new items) So what do you all think?

I’m doing both regardless, but I want to decide which to do next/first by your opinions. Majority rules.

Also, still on the hunt for my misplaced camera but I am borrowing my moms to take photos, I have to re take a ton though.  I’ll get up what I can.  Bear with me please, lots of personal things have been happening (personal message me un anon if you’d like more info, i don’t mind but i’d like it personal to personal) so I’m doing my best.

FOTD 4/14/12.  A bit late I know, sorry!  Was super busy with hosting my sister’s baby shower.  I have a couple other FOTD’s too I’ll be getting up.

Mini drugstore haul 4/16/12.

I only got a few things, but wanted to share anyway.  My mom got a free $40 from CVS (from their cash back thing on the end of the receipts) so I was allowed half of it.

I’ve been more into nails lately (not over makeup or more than, just very into keeping my nails tidy) so I went that route because there was no makeup I needed or wanted there.  

I’m almost out of my cuticle cream so I wanted to try it in another form, I’m so glad I did.  I used it last night and its awesome.  Easier, better.  I like the cream too but this is definitely best if you want a less messy, quick, and effective way.

Then i got another set of impress nails, the same ones I got last time.  Last time I wore them they looked great and when I took them off they weren’t even ready to come off!  So I decided to go ahead and get them again.  I personally think they look best in french.

Under my swatches/review tab are pictures of it opened showing the bottle and everything.

I had been eyeing this sally hansen salon effects strip for a long time so decided to go ahead and get it.  

Lastly, I got a NYC nail polish for $1. “Empire State Blue”  I tried it last night and its really pretty.  You have to put on at least 3 coats to make it right though.  I’m going to wait to wear it until I have the base and top coat since it’d just chip fast otherwise and painting it would be quite tedious.

Thats all but I’m very happy with it.

I’m expected in the mail in a day or two the mini betsey johnson nail polishes and the sephora OPI kit with the base and top coats and drying spray.  

Going to do my nails today, thinking of doing the love nail strips.
