At home gel nails.
I remember when shellac first came around a long time ago. I used to get it in french sometimes, the last time I did was over a year ago though. My mom on the other hand always has hers done that way, mainly because its the easiest to keep them nice and clean for work (nurse). I decided to buy an at home system to see if I could learn to do it well enough to wear myself. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money ( i obviously love sephora, but i’m just not interested in paying that much for the system) so I looked up for a cheaper alternative. I had seen the Sally Hansen ones, as well as the strips which originally caught my attention, but I had a gut feeling I wouldn’t like either. I found Sensationail online, and the next day went to Walgreens where it was said to be. I asked the beauty lately, and surprisingly she was extremely helpful and actually well informed on her section. Not only did she point out the system to me (one left!), while I went back to the car to change my nephew she found some coupons for me. The separate gel nail colors were I believe about $12 and were buy 1 get one 1/2 off. The system itself was $60 something, the lower end of sixty. I ended up being able to get the system + 2 new colors for the price of just the system! It was great. Yesterday I finally decided to give it a try and I did it! And it looks about as perfect as I’d expect for a first try. I’m very happy with it, and happy that I’ll be able to save money using this on my mom and friends nails as well. I definitely recommend this system for many reasons. In a little bit I’ll post a couple of pictures and more information about the system/a review.
Hello beauties!
I miss you all & this blog. I’ve been heavily thinking the past week about returning with pictures, reviews, etc. as before. But since I don’t buy makeup as much and I’m into nails currently, it would mostly surround nails for a bit. (Still with anything beauty and makeup related of course) I’ll start to post a bit again- and see if you all are okay with the switch!
XOXO
Hautelook Package- 4/30/12.
I realize this is obviously super old, but I found it in my drafts and decided to go ahead and post it vs delete it.
I placed an order with Hautelook when they had Too Faced on at the end of April. I did not need anything but some things caught my eye and I know my mom would love the duo so I wanted to buy that for her.

Love their packaging.

Everything I got.

Unique duo packaging again. This time not shattered, yay!

Front.

Back. Cute name.

My mom has been using it for a couple of weeks now and she likes it.

Left side, right side, down the middle.

Mixed, right down the middle.

I miss you guys. <3
I’ll compile a list of what I’ve splurged on later.
If you bought any nail related products lately let me know too- thats mostly what I buy now since I don’t wear my makeup lately.
What are/were your favorite beauty buys/gifts this season?
Seems giveaways are back on. :)
But before I can start it I need your ideas!
I do have at least a handful or so of items already, but I need some ideas!
What do you wanna see?
I would greatly appreciate it if you responded to this here or in a message to me, it will really help me picking out things to give to you, so we can get this started.
Things that would help me for you to answer more specifically would be: (but please don’t feel restricted to this guideline)
- What brands do you want to see?
- Quantity or quality? aka a lot of things as usual, still quality, or just one item of great expense and quality.
- What type of products? Lips? Eyes? Face?
- More specifically, what types of those products? Lipstick, lipgloss? Eye shadow, Eye liner?
- Anything else you’d like to add I’d love to hear.
Giveaways again?
Would anyone like me to start monthly giveaways again? I’ve been thinking about it.
If so, let me know please, and maybe throw in some ideas so I can combine them with mine.
I appreciate your input.
XOXO
